You Are Awesome

I just finished another blog post for my main blog, CaliforniVacation: SoCal Style, where I talk about praying for rain.  You know, 'cuz currently SoCal is water challenged.

Plus, asking for help with our litter issue.  We may be water challenged, but garbage...not so much.  Makes sense, we have over ten million people in SoCal.

Okay, I think this has to be said.  Love me or hate me.  That's okay.  And you'll do whatever you are going to do whatever I say anyway.  It's just that I have contemplated the litter issue a couple of times now because I am a little amazed at how much of it we have in SoCal.

With Occam's Razor as my inspiration, litter can't litter.  Someone has to do it.  To me the easiest solution would be each of us responsible for depositing our own garbage into trash receptacles.  No one has to pick up after you.  No one has to pick up after me.  We each take care of our own.  Too easy?  How grand it would be if the easy answer actually worked. I'm just sayin'!

P.S.  Thanks in advance to all who already do their part and to all who are willing to amp up their effort a bit.  See?  You really are awesome.

Not Born 2 Conform

I just finished reading a book titled, Crush It, by Gary Vaynerchuk.

This book is about living your passion and what's original about you and how you can use this to brand yourself and earn a living doing what you love utilizing many of the low cost entry internet options now available to us all.

I've often felt those that truly rise to the top are those who embrace their uniqueness and go with it instead of trying to be something else. I appreciate when I find others who appear to agree with me.

I am very proud of my not born 2 conform line of designs, which I text message styled to: nb2c.

If you are interested in buying t-shirts, mugs, clocks, or any of a wide array of products with the above design, please click here.  Christmas is coming.

Saints and Sinners

As I write this it is November 1 also known as All Saints Day.

Initially, I intended to more or less write some flippant post about saints and how there technically couldn't be sinners without saints or saints without sinners.  And then ending it with, "I'm just sayin'!"

Then I got to thinking that I didn't want to be talking out of the side of my a**, so I should check to see if there is a criteria for being considered a saint, which there is.  Click here is you want to know the answer.

According to this answer, being a saint and being a live human do not go hand in hand.  In the majority of situations, you need to be dead at least five years to put the process into motion.

No living saints.  No chance of ever meeting a live saint.  In a way then, doesn't that mean there are only living sinners?

How valuable do you think you are?

Do you think you have little value?  Do you feel supremely valuable?  Something in between?  Depends on the weather?  Depends on whether the sun is in your eyes?

I submit the following for your consideration:

You are going to think and feel thoughts and feelings about your value anyway.  Why not think let it be the truth about your value since you are divine and eternal?

I'm just sayin'

What thoughts do you have about your body?

Are they loving?  Are they hateful?  Are they somewhere in between?

Do you feel like there is some sort of nebulous perfection you must achieve before you can love your body.

Let me submit the following for your consideration:

You are going to think and feel thoughts and feelings about your body anyway.  Why not think and feel thoughts that are aligned with love and appreciation?

The day I listened to this audio...

First, I include the invite video

Second, here is the link to the audio:

Be like a newborn baby and recieve and grow stronger.

Third, the rest of the day after listening to the audio was one of the best days of my life.  And I'm almost 50.

Coincidence?  Maybe.

But...

The Work

This from Seth Godin (click here to see the entire blog post I quote from).

"Sometimes, the work is the work and the goal isn't to top what you did yesterday. Doing justice to the work is your task, not setting a world record."

If you don't like the way I do something...

...don't do it like me.
